Days Inn Sea World Hotel - Page 1

On August 1st our youth group from church arrived at the Days Inn at San Antonio. We arrived late after a thirteen hour drive with only one thing on our mind, bed. The next morning we discovered that it was a rule by the management to only allow three towels per day per room. When we asked for more towels we were told that no more were clean. One even asked me if we used our three towels drying off from the pool. I told them yes because the kids wanted to swim. I was then told that I shouldn't have wasted my towels at the pool. I couldn't get any more til the next day,(three more). Why have a pool if you can't use it? One of our rooms had a toilet that leaked. It had a rag in the floor to soak up the water. When we would leave during the day, somebody from the hotel would turn the valve off at the toilet. We would have to turn it on upon returning each time. One room smelled so bad from smoke and other odors that the people couldn't hardley stand it. All rooms were supposed to be non smoking. In the lobby each morning there was one lady trying to work the front desk, prepare the make it yourself waffle batter( their version of hot breakfast), among other things. I was glad she was there because she was the only one that could speak English well enough to understand. I could go on but surely you get the picture. Clearly, this was not a wonderful stay.

The carpeting was dirty and worn. The tub drain did not work and was laying in the bottom of the tub. We received a call during the middle of the night to see if we needed a wake up call.

They provided the usual good service and a nice room.

The toilet had dried feces spread around the outside of it and dried feces on the bathroom floor. No service staff was on duty on a Sunday. I had to clean it myself and was not offered another room.

The bathroom had dried feces on the underside of the toilet bowel, in between the seat attachments, and on the floor. When called for a clean up, the management was short-handed and did not have any cleaning supplies.
