We specifically reserved a NON smoking room, but when we got there they gave us a smoking. When we went to have it changed they basically said we were out of luck because they were completely full for that night. As we were talking to the front desk, a lady came by and angerly put her keys on the desk to cancel her reservation because the exact same thing happened to her. The guy at the front desk could care less. He was very rude and not helpful in the least bit. I finally had to push him into giving us the manager's number so we could discuss the problem with him. After some persistance we finally were able to cancel our room, but they didn't offer to do anything else. NEVER STAY HERE!

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It provide good economic value with average price. Staff was courteous and helped me to feel confortable as it was my first visit to this area. Breakfast was great and free wifi helped me to stay in touch with family.
We booked one night on the Internet to see how we would like it. After the first night we decided that it was OK and the rate was good so we extended another 4 nights. I checked with the desk clerk to see if there would be a rate change and was...

Our room was supposed to be a non smoking room. It smelt like the walls had been permeated with cigarette smoke and that someone had sprayed room deodorizer to mask the smell. The beds were hard as a rock. I bought two egg crate pads so that I could sleep on top of the mattress.
I am not likely
to return to the Days Inn Salt Lake City South.
I would not recommend it to friends.
30 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I used to travel for a living, so I've stayed in quite a few hotels - some in the most remote parts of the country. This was the worst one ever, and unfortunately we stayed there for part of our honeymoon in June 2005. I was banking on Days Inn's reputation - bad call.
We checked in at 3pm, and breakfast was still in the lobby (milk & everything). The owner's collection of dolls sitting on every open space in the lobby was covered with dust, and the place smelled funny.
When we arrived at our room, the phone was from another room, the refrigerator didn't work (found out later when our ice cream went bad), and the air conditioning was louder than my Dad's diesel. Sure, there's cable TV, but only a 13" screen & bad color. Oh, and the bedspread had cigarette burns in it, even though it was a non-smoking room.
The bathroom didn't have any soap or shampoo, and there was a large brown handprint (paint, fortunately) on the bathroom door. When we informed the management of the bathroom situation, they just acknowledged the handprint but didn't try to do anything about it.
And that pretty much sums it up - this hotel was in a state of gross neglect. Unless things have changed in the past 2 years, do not stay here.
I am sorry but this hotel was awful, the hall reeked of I don't know what the non smoking room smelled of smoke, the carpets were so dirty You would hate to put dirty clothes on the floor 2 towels for three people, ya they are cheap but so is the...
A rather nice spot, room to spread out with two teens for two days, pool and great hot tub, free papers and breakfast was quite satisfying. Room the first night left a bit to be desired, door was open when we checked in, no bag in *single*trash can, ...
