Worst hotel I ever stayed in and trust me I'm not picky and have stayed in some dives.
My sister and I were traveling with 5 small children. We reserved rooms next to each other. When we got there after hours of driving from NJ they gave us 2 rooms nowhere near each other.
When we went into the rooms, both were occupied. The guests were not in them at the time (thank God!) but all of their personal things were there, including syringes in the bathroom....dvd players, laptops.
I bet those guests never knew that other people were given keys to their room.
Anyway, we all went back down to tell the front desk and were given 2 more rooms with not even an apology.
The 2 new rooms had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Unmade beds, hair in sink, etc., really gross.
We went down again (keep in mind with 5 tired children) and had to wait for housekeeping to clean 2 other rooms.
This is hours after check-in and the shops that were on our agenda that evening were now closed.
My sister ended up with a room with 1 bed and a pull out couch. For her and her 3 kids!
What is the point of making reservations? The said they had a group of people come in. Who cares? We had reservations!
I worked at the Marriott so I couldn't believe that the manager (sleazy looking guy-very unprofessional) didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and kind of hid in the back room and let the girls at the desk run around to get us a room. He never apologized or offered to comp our room.
To top it all off they charged me $10.00 more than what I reserved the room for so I had to call on the way home to correct it.
Everything but the breakfast buffett was horrible.
The rooms, the customer service, the beds, everything!
I have never written in anywhere to complain before but I felt I had to this time.
