It may be cheap, but there are much better hotels nearby for only a little more - we stayed at Embassy Suites and it was well worth the extra.

The management behind the counter was very nice. Check in was fast. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Lighting down the hallway was very dark. Bed was soft, but covers smelled musty. Bathroom needed upgraded. Cracks were in the ceiling and around the tile on the floor. The bathroom floor was dirty. The bottom of the comade had dried urine on it and there was hair underneath the bathroom vanity. We stayed here one night - left on a cruise the next day. Take the hotel shuttle to the port. Charge for a taxi was $32.

The only thing we did not like was that it took forty five minutes for the shuttle to show up at the airport and that no one answered the phone when we tried to call from the airport.

It was very convenient for those going on a cruise out of the Port of Miami with free shuttle service. The staff was friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant had very good food.
