Our room had no kleenex in the area for it to be; TV had poor reception on some channels; a big cockroach was crawling up the wall, we killed it; the bed was very uncomfortable.
There was no ice.
In the breakfast area, another customer complained of seeing some kind of bug. The area was clean but roaches, bugs are always present in the South.
Our check in clerk was unfriendly; day time check out was wonderful.
At this motel, there was no bar, fitness room, restaurant, just continental breakfast.

We got to the hotel late in the evening after a long drive, so we were just really tired and wanted to get some sleep. We asked for a quiet room, since we had to get up early in the morning and the man checking us in gave us a room on the far end of the hotel making sure we weren't disturbed.
He also told us that if we had any problems to let him know and he would personally take care of it. Around 11 that night we woke up to what seemed like a fight outside. My wife called the front desk and the front desk clerk immediately remembered our conversation and that we needed the sleep and he kept his promise. The fighting stopped and the next morning when we checked out, there was a personal note from him apologizing for the disturbance and an offer to come back and get a discounted rate for the inconvenience.
We didn't want anything for the trouble but it was a nice surprise to get the offer. I would recommend staying here because you can tell from the staff that they care about their customers and that’s a good feeling. Two thumbs up!
