38 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We loved the location of this Days Inn relevant to the outlets. We had stayed at this Days Inns a few times through the 1990's. But I was very disappointed to see just how badly the rooms had gotten. The rugs were a bit gross, as well as the wallpaper in the bathroom. The lighting above the sink was poor. We utilized the pool and the stench from the pool water in our suits and hair was disgusting. I couldn't wait to get home and wash out our suits.

At check in, the staff was very unfriendly. I had to go through a stack of plates to find clean ones at breakfast. Management came and removed those and they were replaced.

The hotel room at the Days Inn George had a bad odor. We had to purchase a scent candle for air freshener. Unable to stay in the room, the candle was burned all night because the odor was so strong.(the night clerk was given the information about the odor). In the middle of the night our bodies started to itch, from the sheets, we had to sleep in our clothes.

They were just wonderful from beginning to end.
This hotel made me feel important: They were the most friendly people and did not talk down to us. As a matter of fact, they immediately read our personalities and were very loose and helpful with our plans, being more as a friend/host than some other stuffy chains.

As there is not a coffee maker, we brought our own and had them put it in a fridge. We were able to have our breakfast in the room before going out for the day.
This hotel made me feel content: We didn't want to stay directly in the village of Lake George as we had a terrible experience in 2002. This time we chose Days Inn, even though it is a few miles south of Lake George, and it was excellent.
