We had to take ice cold showers. When I asked the clerk at the breakfast she said the city was coming to fix it. I asked the afternoon clerk what the problem was and she told me it was because the hot water heater couldn't keep up. The maintenance man said the state came out for an inspection and that's when the problem started weeks earlier. I talked to several of the other guests and they complained of the same rudeness and run around. I asked for a discount and had to about pull teeth for that.

Desk Clerk had no customer service skills/rude. Phone didn't work and when maintenance came to fix it while we were out of the room our things were rummaged through and beverages were missing. This happened again the next morning with a "do not disturb" sign on the door! Our other room was run down and had a basketball sized hole above the toilet that leaked on bath towels when it rained. They were renovating some rooms and there were always workman and furniture and carpet on walkways so it was hard to get to and from rooms. Outside the stairwells and sidewalk were filthy. There was old rusty equiptment stacked outside one of our rooms. After having our things gone through twice in one room we switched rooms for our second night, thinking things couldn't get any worse! Well they did! Pulled back the sheets to turn in for the night and there was a URINE stain on bottom sheet (we saw the beds stripped, they put a dirty ones back on!). If we hadn't been so tired we would have checked out immediately. The same trash layed in the shrubbery and parking lot for three days and on the second night of our stay there were drunk grown men running screaming through the property til 3am. They don't want to refund the $300 that this stay definitely was not worth. DON'T DO IT!

Do not stay here - it is filthy and it stinks. The hall ways made me sick with th estink and filth and the room was not much better. Nothing was clean, the sheets were yellow and never changed. The toliet did not work properly and the shower was moldy and didn't work properly. The balcony was disgusting, full of bird droppings and cigarette butts. we got no housekeeping and had to go to the front desk to get towels every day. The place was disgusting. I cannot say enough about how bad it was. DO NOT STAY THERE!
This is a really bad hotel I would not recommend it to anyone. The reason we chose it was because we were visitng Oceans and Worlds of Fun from Iowa and did not know the area well. This hotel was a waste of money. The trash is outside the dumpster...

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD, AND PAY CASH, THEY WILL STILL CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD AND IT WILL TAKE ALMOST 2 WEEKS TO GET PART OF YOUR MONEY BACK.
This is the worst Days Inn ever. To make a long story short, I had to check out in the middle of the night and go to the Motel 6 across the street. Why? Because gangster teenagers were allowed to take over the hotel after hours and have a post-prom party. They woke the dead and milled in the parking lot yelling and playing loud music. Even the policeman on duty at the Days Inn could not control them. That tells you something right there if you need to have a cop on premises. This after I had to move to three different rooms. The first room they gave me was already occupied unbeknowst to the bumbling front desk clerk, the 2nd didn't have working lights in the bathroom. The place is a disgrace. I phoned in a complaint and got nothing but a form letter from Days Inn Customer Service. I will never stay at another Days Inn again. They used to be a solid chain when I was growing up in the 80's. Now it's a complete hole.

They have a fairly friendly staff, a decent breakfast bar, and a free newspaper. Its in a good location off of the highway. I would recommend this to anyone as it is a pretty nice place for the price. The only thing I would have them correct is the parking lot, as it is full of cracks, bumps, and potholes!
I am very likely
to return to the Days Inn Kansas City-Worlds of Fun.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

All was fine except the staff at the front desk was very abrupt and seemed to have a problem with smiling. They were not really open to answering questions when asked. This applied to when we checked in and when we checked out the next morning. Other than that the facilities were clean and well appointed, but the parking lot was in bad shape with many cracks and pot holes.
