Okay

My husband and I spent a week here while we were getting settled into the area. The service was good, loved the indoor pool and whirlpool.

Excellent
65 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business

We went to the Days Inn hotel because of the internet connection and we liked it so much it that we replaced our regular choice with them.

They offered friendly, helpful and useful service.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Junction City.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Excellent
34 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The rooms were quite big, clean and everything was working well.

The hotel managers are really friendly and helped us with everything we needed (even travel in the neighborhood, which is very handy because we didn't have a car available at that moment). I'm very happy with the motel, and the price is excellent.

This hotel was disgusting. I don't – Posted Sep 17, 2007

Horrible

This hotel was disgusting. I don't believe the room had been cleaned from the prior visit, only the beds were made (sort of). There were cigarette ashes everywhere, mold and mildew in the bathroom, water stains on the ceiling, and a nice hole...

would never stay there again!!!! – Posted Jul 13, 2007

Horrible

The pictures on this site are very deceiving. The Days Inn in Junction City Kansas is filthy. Our room had an overwhelming pet urine smell, the carpets were filthy, the bathtub was so nasty I wouldn't let my children take a bath, and there was ...

This facility was filthy. The room – Posted May 08, 2007

Horrible

This facility was filthy. The room appeared to be almost completely uncleaned. The bathroom and the toilet was clearly not washed since the last guest. The sheets had holes in them and what appeared to be cigarette burns. Management was completely...

A dump deluxe! – Posted Apr 08, 2007

Horrible
55 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business

Due to work, I was required to stay extensively at this place.

The food accommodations even include the worst McDonald’s of all time. That's hard to top. Order a side salad and get the exact same shredded iceberg lettuce they use on a Big Mac. The only excuse, "We were out of the other stuff." This is seriously pathetic.

Denny's, next to the hotel, is horrid. Order one of the slam bam breakfasts and see if you don't agree that the sausages were cooked at least several days before. You will easily wait more than an hour for a simple hamburger. Do not stop here for a quick meal. I swear to you on a stack of Gideon hotel bibles, that in only two times I ate there, I easily saw thirty people get up and walk out, because they were not being waited on for an extended period. It is truly the worst restaurant service I have ever seen, and I travel more than almost anyone. Normally Denny's is not too bad. This is an exception!

Fortunately, I didn't have to pay for my stay, because it is vastly overpriced for what you get, and compared to other places down the road. Take my advice. Drive on for a few miles down Interstate 70 (either direction), be closer to where you are headed. You will be glad you did.

The first night I stayed here, I told them the toilet was not flushing properly and something as small as a Kleenex would not go down without repeated flushes. The Days Inn management's answer was to put a plunger in the bathroom. Yes indeed, this is what a tired hotel guest wants to do after a long day on the road, play plumber!

The shower is equally unacceptable. You can never get the water temperature right, the water pressure is nonexistent, the drains are plugged up, and the shower head will pop right off in your hand if you make the slightest attempt at adjustment. Forget about the fact that this establishment reeks of deferred maintenance, the bathroom just plain smells horribly of stale deodorant and rotting fecal matter. This is all true and accurate.

Additionally, I guarantee you that the bed sheets are not always changed between guests. I caught them on this more than once. Imagine sleeping on the same bedding that some foul smelling traveler slept on the night before. If you like that idea, then this dump is for you. Yes indeed, if you can cut costs by not washing and changing sheets between guests, you will save tons of money. Right?

Trust me when I say, that the spider webs and dead spiders in the corners of the walls have been there many months and at some point those spiders were alive, and soon again will be on the prowl, when the new eggs hatch.

Some times the rooms are not cleaned at all. When the manager is confronted with this, there is never anything more than a lame brained excuse about how busy they are, and that they will get to it eventually. Yes, please allow me to sit in the lobby for a couple hours after just driving 500 miles, so I can wait to have the room cleaned "eventually."

In the six months I had to suffer through this disgusting excuse for a hotel, I can say without question that the toilet was in fact thoroughly cleaned two times. I don't make this up. I lived it.

If you have actually read this far and still think this is a place you would consider for yourself or your family, by all means, enjoy your stay. Just remember, even if you do stop here, sleeping is not an option. There are nonstop trains running right through Junction City, KS and they love to blow the train horns endlessly all night long.

A bad choice – Posted Feb 18, 2007

Mediocre
35 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

Upon arriving, the Days Inn had cancelled our reservation without our permission.

They gave us another room, but when we went to the room, it had not been cleaned. There was food in the fridge, coffee was left in the coffee pot, and there was waste in the toilet. At first, the staff refused to clean it, and were going to give us another room which was outside. We did not feel the room they offered was safe, therefore asked them to clean the first room. They reluctantly sent someone to clean it, but were not planning to change the sheets on the bed. We insisted on staying in the room to watch that the beds were changed. The staff asked us to leave the room while it was being cleaned, but we again refused.

Furthermore, we could not find a clean bathroom in the entire hotel to use. Overall, we did not feel safe there and felt as if we were burdening the staff! We ended up going to another hotel because of the uncleanliness, lack of safety, and lack of concern by the hotel staff.

Unfortunately, for Days Inn, not only did they lose our business that night, but they also lost the business of our entire group (about 8 other rooms) which were reserved for the following night. The other families that were coming a day later cancelled their reservations and joined us in the other hotel.
