48 year old with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

Canceled my plans in Mexico, I'm flying back to Utah tomorrow.

I'm staying at this hotel right now, no inconveniences so far.

Only negative thing I have to say is the driver at night is rude[Fat guy, light complexion]

Great location and free transportation.

Edit:

The hotel is near everything, there is a huge mall I didn't get to see the first time around, and a lot of restaurants.

Good place – Posted Apr 08, 2009

Its pretty common to see bad reviews about places, most people that enjoy their stays are usually busy doing just that.

But since I got some time to kill before heading out to the airport(they arranged me a 4:00 AM shuttle to IAH) I'll put this much out:

The staff that attended me were great.

Room was clean, and Had a good night.

And everything was right on the dot.

Great place, lost a flight, late pick... – Posted Mar 30, 2009

Well yeah, I lost a flight...my fault.

But anyways, I was sitting at the airport at 2300 and the only thing around there was the workers.

So I busted out the lappy, and google'd up hotels in the area, after calling 3 other hotels, I called these guys, and well, here I am, fairly happy.

Oh yeah, I couldn't sleep, so I asked the guy at the desk if there was anything to do around here, and he told me they are associated with a 24 hour fitness and that they'll take me there.

I'm going there now.

Whats with all the negative reviews of this place?

The location was not a terrible ride ot – Posted Jul 30, 2008

Mediocre

The location was not a terrible ride ot most areas of Houston which could make it an easy in/out location. The security of the hotel is questionable since it seemed to be in a challenged area. The room was supposed to be a non-smoking but still...

This was too far from the airport, it – Posted Jul 30, 2008

Horrible

This was too far from the airport, it was actually closer to Bush then Hobby. The staff where too short and quick and not helpful. When I arrived to my room, I opened the door and wanted to turn around and get out. A smell of some sort was coming...

Well as many of you are aware, the upcoming hurricane season is imminent and there is a big one commin'.

So my company made reservations for our "distressed" guests in case of emergency.

Well lemme tell ya this much, they've worked with us, and we now have a great implementation plan in case we require the assistance, and on top of that they charged us NOTHING to help us with planning.

And as far as conditions of the place, well I admit, its not a 5 star hotel, but with the current remodeling and its shaping into an upgrade from its original form(our company used to deal with them about 4 years ago, back then they were under different management, and it sucked).

In any case, take this as a heads up, that the place is not bad, and its certainly shaping up.

Short stay tonight,

But the driver got me off the airport at 2:37 AM.

They said it would take 20 minutes from the airport to the hotel, but it was faster, I assume it was the lack of traffic at the time.

In any case, good location, didnt had any problems, and it was cheap.

I'm going back to the airport in a few hours, so off to sleep for me, but so far so good.

Distance to airport.Professional – Posted Jul 03, 2008

Horrible

Distance to airport.Professional attitude of the staff. Lacking from the shuttle pickup to the checkout. This hotel is in need of some "serious" repair. It is located in an area that is definitely on the decline as far as businesses are concerned....

Continental sucks, Days Inn rocks! – Posted Jun 30, 2008

Yeah, continental canceled a flight, and I was SOL in Houston until 4:00 PM of the NEXT DAY!

Well I gave these fellas a call, and 30 mins later I was sleeping at their hotel.

Great service, everything went smooth.

I'm departing in about 8 hours, when I return to Houston, I will definitively stay here again.
