36 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I have stayed in Days Inn hotels in the past and have always been pleased. This time, not so much. We had made reservations for this one because I found their hotel listed on pet friendly hotels. When I arrived, I was told that they did not. We had to scramble to find a new room and shell out even more money while the web site processed our refund. Now, the woman at the desk at the Days Inn was polite. She informed the travel service of our cancellation. But that was it. She did not try to work in any way with us to stay so that we could avoid having to leave for home. The hotel itself looked horrible. It was dirty and looked run-down. They were doing some renovations I believe, but still, it looked bad. I was glad that we didn't have to stay there after all.

The rooms got really shabby since our last stay there. The staff was bordering on unfriendly. The carpet was sticky and spongy, I was afraid to not wear shoes inside. The breakfast bar was adequate and well stocked. The location is a great stop to stay if you do not want to stay in the Keys but you want to drive to them. There is a Wal-Mart nearby. I like the rooms with mini refrigerators.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Days Inn Homestead.
I might recommend it to friends.

The room was small but clean. The bathroom was very clean. The clerk said there was no AAA discount, although the hotel sign said there was. He gave it to us anyway. Their prices are way inflated during Spring break.
