A day after my average accommodations at the Days Inn – Gainesville, Florida on Newberry Road, I called to let them know I left my cell phone adapter in the room. After leaving 3 messages with different people that all promised to call me back but never did, I finally reached the head housekeeper who found the cell phone in the room and said she would mail it to me c.o.d.
After a week of not receiving the adapter, I called back for the 4th time and got the run-around again. So I filed a formal complaint with the Regional Office who documented the case and assured me the GM would contact me. After two weeks with no word, I called and the “Customer Service” Dept closed the case number and referred me back to the GM of the Days Inn.
At this point, I realize I’m never going to get my property back but what I also realize is that there is a complete lack of accountability, lack of communication and complete lack of concern for customer’s opinion. If you want to be charged an inflated price for average accommodations and don’t need employees to do anything outside the letter of their job, the Day’s Inn is for you!
