Single digit day. Heat was not on in the room at all. We turned it on and after an hour it started warming up in the room. But he heater made a noise like a drum line in our room all nite. Finally turned it completely off and just slept in the cold. Brother-in-law's room never did warm up.

It's refreshing to be genuinely greeted. When I came in, The Clerk at the front desk seemed to care about my stay and what would be best for me. She offered just enough conversation to let me know she was attentive without prying into the personal. After I had checked into my room, I went back out to the lobby to look for a newspaper. She stopped what she was doing and asked if she could help me find something. when I told her what I was looking for, she immediately fetched me a fresh one. As I turned and walked away she said, "Call the desk if you need anything else." I could tell by her tone, she was sincere.

I was passing through Emporia and wanted a place to sleep and a shower in the morning. The room was clean. The complex was quiet allowing a good night sleep. The girl at the front desk was pleasent and friendly. Exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price.

The hotel has everything that their site claims, but, in the most minimal form. The pool is incredibly small, only reaches 6 ft. at one spot in it. The "game room" consists of one machine on a balcony above the pool. The hot tub was nice and was actually somewhat how I expected it to be. But the room size was incredibly small. There was barely room for the furniture.
