Where to begin.?? Our room on the 1st floor. At least 1/2 inch gap in the door on the floor. Any bug or rodent that size could squeeze under the door and into the room. I checked out others on the 1st floor. They all seemed to have some gap under the door. Room was dirty, crap and dust in all corners and any where that would have taken an extra second or two to clean. Iron did not work, ironing board broken and unusable. Fan in the bathroom did not work. Shower curtain was not afixed to the wall correctly. curtain slid/hung in center of bar, water from shower went all over the floor. The tub did not have non-slip stips in it. People could fall easily in wet tub. In morning, found spider the size of a quarter on the shelf (probably other creatures making their home there because of the gap between the door and the floor. In bringing this to the attention at the front desk in the morning upon checkout, older man was pretty upset that we even mentioned it. Said that we should have brought it up the previous night so that it could have been dealt with, very rude... That they did not run a "high Class Hotel" Most problems listed were not observed until next morning. WHO WANTS to check in late in the day and then have a whole lot of problems to deal with. WILL NEVER CHECK INTO a DAYS INN again.

It was nice. The receptionist was very helpful.

My stay went well except I lost money in the snack machine. The attendant gave me his own money because he couldn't refund it from the register. It's in a great location, the service was good, and they have very comfortable lodgings.

This hotel made me feel entertained: The cable had many channels to choose from and they had wireless internet connection for my computer.

We just returned from our trip to Knoxville and we were very disappointed in the Days Inn on Asheville Highway in Knoxville, TN.

The room was booked at a "group rate" which was higher than the average daily rate. In addition, the hotel accommodations were bad. Check-in was at 2:00 pm and we arrived at 2:40 pm with the rooms not yet cleaned and ready for guests. When the room was made available to us we found ants crawling on the vanity in the bathroom and also in the bed. There were cigarette butts and soap left in the shower from the previous guest.

The television did not have clear reception, and we could barely make out the channels. One light socket was not even mounted in the wall, it was hanging freely. The reservation was made for four people in the room, two towels were provided. The hotel did not prepare for adequate continental breakfast for the capacity of the hotel. The breakfast was gone within in five minutes which was supposed to be available for two hours in the morning. The high speed internet connection that is available is actually one line located in the lobby of the hotel. It is not available in the rooms.

Location, comfort, and service were as expected for the price paid. I have used Day's Inn on several occasions and have been satisfied with my experiences. They offer good accommodations for the 'budget-minded.'
