Horrible
I have stayed in several hotels in the Des Moines area and this by far is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Very dirty and the staff was not the friendliest. Check out time was 11am and at 10:30am the front desk was calling our room as a...

Our room door did not lock. We were given another room, but we had to go to the front desk. No one answered the phone. In the new room the toilet was moldy in the bottom of it. Otherwise, it was ok.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Days Inn Des Moines/Merle Hay.
I might recommend it to friends.

It was super cheap compared to the other hotels in this area. The main problem I had at this hotel was the bed was uncomfortable and the room had a smell to it.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Days Inn Des Moines/Merle Hay.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Very nice staff and conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, movies, etc. Right near the interstate for easy access. Rooms were clean, quiet, and enjoyed the stay. Will come back again.

Stay anywhere but here, They have awful management, filthy pillows, its overpriced, and I was charged more than I was quoted and I am still disputing the matter weeks later. Stay at the Super 8 up the way, or just go to the Holiday Inn Express across the street. I swear on my grandkids, I dont believe this place is still in business.
We had about 15 people in our group for a wedding.
We were short on money,so we rented 2 rooms at regular price. And they gave us lots of blanket , and about 8 rollaway beds. At no extra cost. we had lots of fun and good memories.
