Days Inn DFW North Motel

When I arrived at check-in, I was greeted by Oliver, He apparently thought he worked at the RITZ. He was a bit too snooty for my taste.

When I got to my 3rd floor room I turned on the TV, it was supposed to have 20 channels, 4 came in clear. So much for satellite tv.

The computer workstation/desk didn't work even when plugged in.

The A/C didn't work on HI speed.

The shower water went from scalding to ice cold without even moving the faucet, this is bad when you're on the receiving end.

And lastly but not least, there were numerous bugs (dead) in the w/c light fixture. Apparently housekeeping missed this part of the video.

All in all, I will say that they supply you with plenty of pillows and a comfortable bed. I probably will stay at the Westin next door on my next visit though.

The location in relationship to the airport was great and they had easy access. The hotel clerks were everything one would expect.

We stayed a total of five nights, however on day #4, the hotel suffered a gas leak leaving guests with no hot water. We did not return to the hotel until late that night and were not made aware of the issue until the morning of day #5.

They were offering a $15 refund and promised that the repairs would be made that day. We returned around 7 pm to find that there was still no hot water to shower. The hotel GM did take care of us. The breakfast buffet needed to have had more variety of fruits & cereals. Also, they could've offered along with toast some bagels. They also had run out of regular coffee for the guest rooms. The cable TV had malfunctioned for the first 3 days.

It was a nice hotel for a good price. The desk person was very friendly considering the late night and the long line. The shuttle to the airport was late, but the staff paid for taxis.

I liked the fact that for a reasonable fee, we could leave the car parked in their lot, be shuttled to the airport and when we get back, call the Days Inn front desk to be picked up at the airport and taken back to our car. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely be willing to stay there again in the future.

The motel and the parking service were both fine. The check in crew was clueless. The young lady had trouble finding our reservations. But I would stay there again.

This hotel made me feel practical: This was a deal where we left our car there on an airplane trip. It was economical and convenient.
