Although I had some trouble finding this (came in from Monticello, UT, which is a straight shot--it was dark, I was very tired, and somehow I missed it) I'm very glad I stayed here. (I had to call the motel for them to give me directions--they were very clear.) Unfortunately, I was on the 2nd floor, and there's no elevator for my suitcase, but the room was great--very large and extremely comfy. There was a very good breakfast selection, including a waffle iron, and a nice seating area. This is a great location for Mesa Verde, which is only about 10 miles away. Before I got to my room, I was somewhat leery, as on the bottom floor there was a noisy party going on, but when I got to the room, I could hear none of it. I stayed here for two nights. There was some problems the second night--my room wasn't cleaned, and the linens were all in a disarray--but when I reported it, it was immediately taken care of; I was given an even better room and the staff apologized for the mistake. Hey, things happen, but except for moving my luggage, it was no big thing. If you do stay on the second floor, be careful walking, as there's a dip not marked in one area, and I did stumble a little as I wasn't paying attention. But overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and I definitely would stay here again. A nice touch is that there's a computer in the breakfast area. Cortez gas was a little cheaper than what I saw in SE Utah.

The maintenance is poor on items like the televison and a/c unit. We were able to get a two room suite with 3 double beds for under $100 a night. For that reason, it's a great bargain for families. Also, the mexican restaurant next to the hotel makes awesome margaritas for road-weary parents.

The days inn where stayed was definitely in need of some maintenance. Although it was clean and the desk clerk was helpful, the room was drab and had stains on the chairs and carpets. Some of the light bulbs were bare . Had known would have stayed e.
