It was in a good location, near metro, near to my conference area, with everything which we needed nearby. The area felt safe with many business people and other pedestrians walking on the sidewalks. The hotel was clean and comfortable with helpful personnel working at the desk.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Days Inn Connecticut Ave.
I might recommend it to friends.

25 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for business

I was apprehensive about staying at the Days Inn after reading all of the negative reviews, but it was the right price and everyone said it recently underwent a renovation.

We arrived at 4:00; check-in was supposed to be at 3. Our room was not ready and we had to wait in the lobby until around 4:30.

The room is fine for two people size-wise and I first thought "phew, it isn't *that* bad." Then I found lipstick on both sides of the pillow. Then I discovered lots of mold in the shower. All problems seemed to center around the cleaning service. The room also did not appear to be renovated - the bathtub/shower had broken pieces and looked quite old.

Free wireless is nice, though, so bring your laptop along. Internet is otherwise pay via television or their business center.

The location is great, though. The metro is about 2 blocks away (around a half hour from downtown Washington attractions, including the convention center) and there are lots of stores and restaurants within those two blocks - CVS, Giant, Burger King, a great Indian place, Chinese, sandwich shops, etc. The Italian restaurant joined to the hotel is a little pricey, but the pizza there is great! Remember that since the hotel is so close to the UDC campus, you can also order take out from campusfood.com.

Well, for the price tag this is a good value. However there are some things to warn about:

- the only male receptionist is very unfriendly, never bothering to greet in the morning

- the coffee here is the worst I have ever tasted in my whole life

- the equipment reflects the number of stars for this hotel, somewhat oldish and pretty used, the bathrooms look like from the 19th century.

- you may find long black female hairs in the bath...

Positive is that there is plenty of services in around of the hotel, like pharmacy, grocery, breakfast deli's etc.

In conclusion, for a budget traveller, this seems to be a pretty good value.

The hotel was clean and it had a friendly and helpful staff. It also had a great location for public transportation to all the tourist sights. Our hotel room problem was immediately taken care of.

This hotel made me feel important: Customer service was friendly and they made you feel like you were their only customer, even when others were waiting to check in.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Connecticut Ave.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I had a nice stay like always with the Days Inn hotel.

This hotel made me feel excited: The staff rolled out the red carpet and that made my stay most enjoyable.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Connecticut Ave.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It is a very nice hotel, with a friendly staff. I received a Panda Package upon arrival since we went specifically to go to the National Zoo to see the baby Panda.

This hotel made me feel secure: Security was at every door and we were escorted to our room, too.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Connecticut Ave.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It would have been nice if the parking had not been so expensive. I could not use the luggage cart to reach my car in the parking lot. It would have been a pain to move the car to be able to reach the luggage cart.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Connecticut Ave.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We enjoyed our visit very much. It’s a bit older place but clean and very convenient to public transportation. Our one complaint was the ice machine on our floor was not working and they never did fix the problem.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They had a pleasant greeting.

I love the location, close to the zoo and with many funky restaurants close by. It is close to the UDC metro stop and it allows easy access to the rest of the city.

We had reserved a room, but got bumped to a handicapped room. The shower floor had no slope, so water drained all over the bathroom floor. Also, the water was neither hot enough nor did it have sufficient pressure.

The price was good. The location was good. It was an aging hotel. But we could use additional remodeling work and better lighting of the area.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff was friendly. The check-in procedure was quick and painless. The parking was good.
