Days Inn Civic Center Motel

It was last summer I went from the south to the west coast. I tried to use Days Inn hotels often because of their good service in the past.

This was a nice hotel located in a nice part of town, although to get there from downtown San Francisco one has to walk through the bad part of town. The staff was helpful and housekeeping was great. The room was what we expected for the price. The bathroom was huge and we used it as a second bedroom for our son who slept in a playpen. The continental breakfast is simple but nice to have. The check in and out was efficient and it was within a few miles of almost anything walking or within a few blocks of a station or bus stop to get anywhere else.

For a San Francisco hotel, the Days Inn is reasonably priced and placed in a great location. The BART station, the local transit system isn't located too far away. The hotel offered free parking as well, which is very nice in a big city. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful as well. My friend's luggage had been lost and the airport was going to deliver it. The front desk attendant was nice enough to hold the luggage safely for her when it arrived, while we were gone for the day. The hotel rooms all have exterior doors, but I never felt unsafe.

The service is worth the price.

Free parking was a plus. The rooms were so-so, but the location was good. The continental breakfast was not worth much, but the staff was friendly and polite. The rooms were small and I woke up with a backache from a not very good mattress.
