Just like home – Posted Jan 14, 2007

Excellent
65 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I stay at the Hawthorne Inn in Berlin Ct. a lot because of business. The staff there is very friendly and I was treated just like family.

Max, their St. Bernard, is one of the friendliest dogs that I have ever met. I very highly recommend staying here when in the area.

Good
59 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This was the third time that we have stayed at the Hawthorne Inn. This place feels very homey, like staying at Uncle Ed and Aunt Alma's house. A friendly St. Bernard named "Max" welcomes you, as do all of the very friendly staff. The rooms are very clean and well-appointed, in typical motel style. The breakfast is terrific: fresh baked coffee cakes, assorted yogurts, freshly cut-up fruit, homemade waffles (with waffle iron), English muffins, bagels, cream cheese, cereal, oatmeal, juices and coffee/tea, etc. In the living/eating area are jigsaw puzzles (in progress), daily newspapers, as well as comfortable sofas and chairs. We used the work out room, it's small but it has a treadmill, stair stepper, stationary bike and a gym machine. All in all, it was a wonderful experience!

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Berlin CT.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

A home away from home – Posted Oct 27, 2006

Good
74 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This Inn was a lovely experience. The front desk was quick and helpful, and the rooms were clean and neat. The daily newspaper was part of the service, as well as the continental breakfast containing fruit salad and waffles were made fresh daily. A cocktail hour every Wednesday evening from five ‘till seven helped us to meet fellow guests and feel quite comfortable.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Berlin CT.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Excellent
45 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The Hawthorne Inn/Lodge on the Berlin turnpike is the place to stay. The Grelaks will always make you feel like part of the family. You get the benefit of staying at a very clean and reasonably priced hotel, along with a 5 star restaurant as well.

It is family owned by the Grelaks, and they make you feel like a member of the family.

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. If you’re traveling for business or pleasure, the Hawthorne Inn is the place to stay.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Berlin CT.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Excellent
60 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

They have a variety of shopping malls nearby. The service was far beyond what I expected. The staff was very professional and helpful to assist my needs. The hotel made feel like I was at home. If I might add, it was also very clean.

I am very likely to return to the Days Inn Berlin CT.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
