Okay
I am unable to say anything good, except that the bed was clean.Bottom entry door seal was gone, bugs can just crawl in. Perhaps the quality reflects the price, but the hotel needs a lot of fixing including cleaning the filters of the air...

Mediocre
Location, outside appearance and staff were ok for one star. The room stunk, the extra chair smelled of urine and the extra door lock was broken. Pleasant staff and outside appearance. Rooms were old, worn, small and uncared for....
We stopped by here overnight on our trip from the national parcs to santa barbara, for our purpose as a place to stay overnight this place was perfect. The room was clean, we had fridge, wireless internet access, air conditioning, hairdryer, tv.
Nothing. It was dirty, broken down, bug ridden scratchy towels. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at, towels were like sandpaper, dont' believe me go try them. Room had spiders on walls, bathroom fan not working and hanging down from ceiling.
The staff was friendly and the room seemed a good value for the money. The continental breakfast was weak in my opinion. It's location is convenient and you are close to the interstate, restaurants and stores.

It was conveniently located. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room comfortable, etc. I also appreciated the fact that all the light fixtures I checked had compact fluorescent light bulbs installed. I was impressed by the common sense and social consciousness, global warming, energy shortages, etc. Days Inns showed. We spoke to the desk at checkout, praising their use of CFLs and conserving energy.
They noticed us right away at check-in. They answered questions accurately and provided directions as needed.
I am very likely
to return to the Days Inn Barstow.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
