Dont believe the lies in their advertisement- this is not a watefront hotel - it is on the wrong side of Route 3. Route 3 is the busiest road on the island. The noise from cars is non-stop - your windows are only about 30 feet from road, adn sound...

My friend and I were traveling to Bar Harbor and stayed most nights at the Highbrook Motel -- much better & much cheaper. Unfortunately, they were booked for the night we planned to arrive, so we stayed at the Days Inn. Thank God it was only for one ...

The very friendly staff is always willing to make my stay more comfortable. I asked for a couple more pillows and they were at my door within ten minutes.

Smelled, noisy, stains on bedspread. no curain on bathroom window, outside was a large fuel oil tank. wrong directions in Days Inn book/interstate exit #'s were changed. not fit for any chain to have their name on. one night was one too many.
It appeared that they put no money or effort into this plac. Rooms had a sickening mildew odor. Cigarette burn on the bedspread of our no smoking room. Dumpster was just outside our room. Lots of traffic noise. Price was not that good for what...

Okay
I like this hotel for the value for money. It takes 10 - 15 minutes from the hotel to a ranger-led program in Acadia, which we participated frequently. The problem I had was that wireless internet did not work for me. I suspect they only support 802....

Nice staff. Convenient location for ferry traffic. Room furniture okay but walls, and carpet were old and dingy. Plumbing from nearby rooms was surprisingly noisy .

This would be just an average hotel except the cleaning staff and breakfast lady make it superior. The receptionist let our mail accumulate for a week before we caught it. The room was adequate, bath barely large enough. The breakfast was outstanding. They told us we could use the fitness facilities of the hotel across the street but I don't think anyone did. The free bus to Bar Harbor will stop in front of the hotel if you're out there. What a great place to visit!
