Yuck! Not Clean!

We weren't allowed to check in until the "rooms were cleaned". There were rooms available but we were told there wasn't. We couldn't check in until 1400 (2pm). Got into the room and it was hot cause the air wasn't turned on. The bathroom shower hadn't been cleaned in years, there was mold, someone elses hair, and soap scum all over the walls. The floor hadn't even been swept or cleaned either! The mirror was also dirty. We pulled back the comforter to the beds and there were food particles all over the sheets. We requested new sheets, but they never brought them to us. They didn't even use a fitted sheet to cover the bed, they used a regular thin sheet and tucked it in, and it kept coming off. I would never go barefoot in a hotel room especially this one, so i had to wear some kind of shoes at all times. This is one nasty hotel!

Worst hotel ever!

43 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I took pictures to prove how awful my room was and will be happy to forward to you. To begin, my room had apparently never been dusted and cleaned. There was some kind of food stuff on the vanity near the sink. There were "dirty, smeared" fingerprints all over the shower stall wall. There was what appeared to be someone's bowel movement on the toilet seat. The safe was pulled off the wall and held up by a beer bottle. The clock did not work and there was no iron or ironing board in the room. When we went to the front desk for an iron, ironing board, and clock that worked, we were told they did not have a clock, and was given an iron which had the wire spliced to a different colored wire and taped up which was a definite fire/shock hazard. The ironing board was so dirty and torn it could not be used. Both looked as though they were pulled from the trash! We were told someone would come the next day. We saw no one the entire weekend except a man who could not speak english wanting to get into our room to "clean" it. What a joke! When we went to the pool we took the only 2 towels we had. We went to the front desk to ask for 2 more in order to take to our rooms for showers and was told, towels are not provided for the pool. I realize this is a low priced hotel but I do expect to have the basic amenities provided such as a clean room and towels.

It was as I expected. The pool area was a little dirty with trash on the ground and the pool area was small!
This hotel made me feel important: I was escaping a hurricane and they understood that and they were quite nice to welcome me.
