This hotel has one great thing going for it, the location. It is in downtown Asheville, within easy walking distance of restaurants, art galleries, shops, etc. They know they have this advantage, and therefore, don't try too hard as far as the upkeep is concerned. If you're looking for style and luxury in your accommodations, this is not the hotel for you.

I might recommend it to friends.
The place is way to expensive for a dirty seedy hotel. The rules and regulations are rediculus. They also make you pay to use their parking lot.The night staff was very unpleasent. The best western is a much better choice.

Rooms were fithy, hotel run down, worried about safety of car, door didn't shut properly, light fixture hanging off wall, weird staff, don't rent rooms to anyone living in western NC. Would NEVER think about staying here again.

The location is excellent if you want access to downtown. The hotel is a bit run down, but the location makes up for it, in my mind. The complimentary breakfast is adequate, although the room in which it is offered is not attractive.

The ONLY positive thing about this motel is the location. Period. We checked in at 4pm and the housekeeper was still cleaning. The heating/air unit was rusty, falling apart and very noisy. I agree with the other post that said this motel should be...
