I wondered if this building still housed a hotel; it has long been known as,shall we say, a bit seedy. I guess the free clinic adjacent to the lobby has closed? I'm sure the million $ condo owners across street love the "traffic" that...

location is great! Which is why I stayed here about 1-3 times per year. Well I used to. Over the years it has gone down hill. My last stay I had BED BUGS and the shabbyness had gotten unbearable. I informed the Mgr.
The only pleasant surprise we had during our stay was that we didn't see any roaches. Apparently everyone in Asheville is required to own a Harley and none of them can afford a muffler. If you stay in one of the rooms facing the street you...

I'd booked a room here a couple months in advance of my stay, not knowing about the area. Had I known what I was in for, I'd have selected a different hotel, good chance still a Days Inn, however. While the front desk staff was courteous in every way, the location was a nightmare. If you're looking for peace & quiet, move on! Could hardly sleep a wink with all the partying on the street and loud car stereos right outside the room. Can't blame the hotel for this however. I can blame them for the musty smelling room, poorly functioning plumbing (a mere trickle at the sink, and the showerhead was broken and would not switch off of that machine gun like maximum massage setting), dirty carpet, uncomfortable bed, pillows that offered no support at all, an alarm clock that didn't work, and an air conditioner that sounded as if were akin to a WWII bomber. Parking is a nightmare as well, with tiny cramped spots that would barely fit a Chevy Aveo. I had to park across the street in the city garage....the desk clerk insisted that there were 5 open spots in the lot. Yes, there were but they all had cars over the line into them already! Being that I had brought a show car for an event over the weekend, I had no desire to park where it would more than surely receive damage. Whenever I travel, I do favor stays with Days Inns as they're typically clean and comfortable, and a good value. This downtown Asheville location, however, is the exception. It was by far the most unpleasant hotel stay I've ever had.

We were pestered by maids and made to feel like we needed to get out of the room early each morning. We used the do not disturb sign, so the maid called the room. A couple of times we had to ask for more towels and when they did clean the room it was not a very thorough job. Worst of all, they used some sort of spray that made the whole room and the bed sheets and the pillows smell disgusting.
I am not likely
to return to the Days Inn Asheville Patton Ave.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Horrible
When you walk by the adjoining room at 1:00am and the partially clothed guests stare back at you from their open door, you know it is going to be a long night. The smell of urine was very prevalent and the paper thin walls made for poor sleep. The ...
I booked this hotel room for three days and ended up leaving after first night due to a LIVE ROACH in my bed, the shower water was coming out black, there was no toilet paper in our room, the beds dont have fitted sheets, and there was a bodily...
I checked all the reviews on this hotel before we took our trip. I was a little nervous but the location is the best. The hotel could have been worse. It wasn't the cleanest but the people were nice and it worked for an overnight stay. ...

Have stayed many times over the years & slowly watched it deteriorate. Location and affordable rates used to make up for lack of amenities and cleanliness but no more. Most recent visit included dead bugs in bed and dirty washcloths in shower. New no visitation rule is a ridiculous local friends were not allowed to come to our room when they picked us up for dinner. This was the last time we stay here.
