I was looking for an inexpensive motel/hotel to stay in while my daughter and I visited Disneyland. I was successful with my search with the Days Inn, Anaheim.
However, this is a definite case of Caveat Emptor, as the maintenance at this hotel is in need of attention. Our bathroom had many cracked tiles, and the handle on the toilet was broken, though still functional. Our telephone cord was also broken, and had to be handled gingerly in order to place a call. (I only needed to call the front desk. Who needs a phone in the room in this day of cellular communication?) The pool was clean, but very cold, and the Jacuzzi was warm, but would not produce jets. Our air conditioner would not work. The refrigerator had a cracked seal.
None of these things really made me regret our stay, as it was a very inexpensive hotel. However, the advertisement for the hotel stated that they Disneyland Resort was a block away. After walking it two ways on two separate days, I will say that it is the longest city block I've ever walked. I metered the walk before we left Anaheim, and it was a solid 9/10's of a mile, one way!
Now, my daughter and I are fit , and we had no problem with this jaunt, but after walking around Disneyland all day, walking back to the hotel was a virtual hike!
The greatest disappointment came when we went to have our continental breakfast. The spread was very meager, which is no big deal, but the muffins and pastries were horribly stale. I literally spat them out! The money I had hoped to save on food expenses was spent at Disneyland.
All in all, the beds were comfortable, the sheets were clean, but rough, and the staff tried to be pleasant. However, I would not use this hotel again.
