Days Inn Alton Hotel

THIS HOTEL NEEDS TO BE TORN DOWN, SCARY,FILTHY,UNSANITARY,CURTAINS HANGING FROM THE WALL,WREAKED WITH CIRGARETTE SMELL,BURN HOLES IN SHEETS, LEAKING ROOF ONTO THE BED,NO LOTION,CONDITIONDER OR PICTURES ON THE WALLS,LOCKS DID NOT WORK, NO CLOSET LET ALONE HANGERS,WEEDS OUTSIDE,ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND FRIGHTENING.DAYS INN SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR THEIR NAME TO BE ON THE SIGN. NO OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE OR WE WOULD HAVE LEFT.SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FOR THE WEB SITE TO SPEAK OF IT IN TERMS THAT ARE UNTRUE! NEVER AGAIN!!

Do not come to this hotel! This hotel is in a very bad neighborhood and is in dire need of repairs. They need to tear down the building and re build. It is unsalvagable. I saw drug deals going on in the parking lot, used condoms on the floors in the hallway .. filthy!!! Not to mention the hotel room door had a 14" knife gash in it where it looked like someone had tried to break into that room before. Very unsafe and un sanitary. Stay Away!

This place should be torn down. It is filthy and a fire trap. We checked out as soon as we checked in the room. We asked for a refund and we received it.

The hotel was run-down. The bedroom furniture was very worn. There was no continental breakfast even though one was advertised on the website. My room was clean. The staff was friendly.

The staff was not very friendly or helpful. We had to pay a deposit just to use the phone and then we were charged for local calls, which were supposed to be free. Our hotel room and the hotel premises were dirty and poorly maintained.
