Stayed here when Days Inn, it now has new base, crown molding, A/C, and kitchenette, and carpet, I like the way every room is different. Would like to see full maid service available, but I don't change sheets every day at home.

We have stayed there three times since owned by Days Inn. Now they do not clean your room while you are there, the front desk told me to take my own trash to the dumpster, in which I reply I do not work here. If I stayed at Hampton Inn they do not tell you that, I am paying for my services when I checked in and gave them my money. I don't think we will go back.

This is the third time at this location. One time when it was Days Inn and two times after the "supposed" remodeling. If it wasn't for the fact that this place is only one out of two that has boat slips in the area we would not stay here. I don't think a hastily patched boat ramp and new fridges and microwaves construes "remodeling". The bathrooms are still the same and the toilets still don't flush properly. The lighting is poor and the air conditioning is still noisy. The door locks/latches are worn out and still make too much noise when opening or closing if you're not careful. As with all Days Inn properties, the walls are so paper thin you can hear some-one's bowel movement in the adjoining room, if you are in a ground floor room any-one walking in the room above sounds like a herd of elephants and as usual, the staff are friendly but inept.
This property is now a "Condotel" which means that the individual rooms are privately owned and a management company overseas the rental and operations of the property. For some strange reason, they have decided to discontinue maid service so if you are staying for more than one day, plan to take your own garbage out and keep the room clean yourself. You'll also have to beg for clean sheets, soap/towels etc that are provided at other motels that charge a lot less than this place.
During our two day stay over the labor day week-end, there was no hot water Saturday till 10:30 P.M., the outside garbage cans by the side entrance and fishing dock were overflowing with smelly garbage piled next to them and not emptied till the afternoon.
This property states it has a no tolerance policy on noisy guests. Yeah right, just try and get them to enforce it.
If you own a boat like we do, do not use Slip 1A. the piling that supports the walkway is still loose and has still not been fixed still after telling the management and you'll end up falling if you're not careful. If you're a novice boater and plan on using the boat ramp, watch out for the wooden wall that sticks out on the left when backing up and also the "curbs" on either side of the ramp. There's also a pretty big drop off at the end of the ramp. For small boats the ramp is Ok and larger boats only at high tide, otherwise you're better off launching and retrieving at the NC Wildlife fisheries ramp directly across Bogue Sound from the Motel. The channel around the point has been recently dredged and is now well marked but beware it is still a no wake zone all the way until you clear the last green channel marker before you hang a sharp left to head to the intercoastal channel.

The room was really clean. I liked the balcony and the bar in the room. The pool was nice and clean.
The room was a little more than I expected and it was ground level so I could stand out on the balcony and see my car and watch traffic. I liked the swiveling TV and the bar.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Days Inn.
I might recommend it to friends.
