Da Vinci Hotel

We stayed here the week of Thanksgiving, 2007. The service was excellent and the room was very clean. It was a real value compared to other chain hotels in the same area. The owner, Joe G. was so friendly and accommodating. The Da Vinci Hotel will be our first choice when staying in Manhattan again.

The location was fabulous. The room was small and the light bulbs were dim, the hair dryer did not work, but they replaced it. It was clean and inexpensive, so it was a worthwhile place.

I got a nice room for the most part. It's clean, safe, and the staff is moderately friendly. It has a very family-run feel to it. The hotel is so-so, but there's a super little Italian restaurant downstairs where power brokers go to do their thing over some pasta. The food's great and authentic Italian. It has great atmosphere. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget in NYC.

The heat did not work and there was minimal room space. The hotel had a good location. We got what we paid for in New York City.
