From indifferent staff to absolutely battered public spaces, the Curzon Plaza reminded me of a place designed for some purpose other than housing guests. This place is grim, grim, grim. Staff more willing to talk to themselves than to help a guest. Uniformed doorman appears every so often, but one cannot understand his duties as he disappears more often than not, and even when watched for a length of time avoids all contact with guests. Unpainted hallways, dirty and stained carpeting, wood floors in rooms a novelty but dirty. Windows uncleaned in, apparently, years. Dodgy locks on the doors. Perhaps okay for a bunch of footballers, not for tourists or business travelers. Yes, it has location going for it. Poor value all around.
