Nestled in the coastal plain of northeastern North Carolina, the Culpepper Inn is just one hours' drive from Norfolk International Airport. The Inn is surrounded by lush lawns, shrubs, and trees and housed in an 1930's brick Colonial Revival style manor house built by William and Alice Culpepper. The Inn is cozy with a smattering of antiques, Orientals and high thread count linen. The Inn features ten guest rooms with king or queen sized beds, large recliners and private claw foot baths and soaking tubs. Most rooms have a small refrigerator and microwave. Four of the rooms have gas fireplaces and one is fully fitted to accommodate handicapped clientele. On the grounds, you will find beautiful landscaping, a fishpond, and a screened porch to accent outdoor activities. In addition to enjoying a good night's rest, we also host business meetings, weddings, conferences, family reunions and music recitals. We also offer sports getaway weekends: golf, sailing, tennis, and windsurfing. Established in 1993, the Culpepper Inn has quickly become an Elizabeth City tradition.
