We stayed at this hotel two years ago right after Hurricane Charley blew through the area. Most hotels were damaged and had no power, this hotel had power and very little damage. We had a very wonderful 90th birthday party for my mother-in-law just one week after the Hurricane at the hotel. The staff was very accomodating and helpful for the entire event of over 60 people attending. Our room at the hotel was very nice. The bed was the best feature. Very plush and comfortable.
I was very pleased with the staff at the hotel who went out of thier way two weeks later to get us room when the second hurricane was approaching and we were returning to keep my mother-in-law company through yet another storm.
Highly recommend this hotel. Good food at the restaurant on site and very nice pool area. Only one fly in the ointment though. Parking is uncovered and a ways from the hotel so if you get caught in one of the afternoon downpours in the summer, YOU WILL GET WET.
