The hotel itself is pretty out of date, and the striped hallways are even a bit creepy and maze-like, but the grounds are beautiful. I've never seen anything so serene and magical. Granted, this is the only place I've stayed on Hilton Head so far, the grounds of this hotel made it worth the cost. The location of the hotel makes it easy to switch back and forth between ocean and pool if need be, and bikes are available for rent to ride on the beach and/or the hotel grounds. But again, don't expect that your room will be too impressive.
42 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We came from NY state to escape the Winter and stayed in this hotel in January for a couple of days. It is a lovely resort hotel, with an attractive decor and just steps from a very nice beach. We have two small children and upgraded to a Suite facing the pool. The service was impeccable and the room was immaculate. The seafood buffet was delicious, if not inexpensive. The indoor pool was small, but sufficient for small children. We felt very comfortable and would stay here again.

Okay
We upgraded to the presidential suite and I was really disappointed by the lack of cleaning that was done to the room. I had to request cleaning supplies from housekeeping to do the bathroom. We were also very upset because we received a call from ...
The staff was totally disinterested in their jobs and the guests. Our room was shabby and old with a very musty smell from the air conditioner. The bathroom floor was so dirty that I didn't even want to walk on it. We were unable to sleep as...

Okay
The best things about this hotel were the courteous staff and it's location. The food was expensive and not all that great. We did not try the seafood buffet, but it looked good. But if you're looking to relax, enjoy the beach and the many other...

Mediocre
We were greeted by rude front desk staff who didn't have our room ready and gave us keys that didn't work- BAD first impression. There was mildew in the bath and stains on the toilet & floor. The room decor needs some serious updating. Our view...

Mediocre
This resort is primarily for families- not couples. The rooms need updating and cleaning. The "live entertainment" is a cheesy guy on guitar by the pool. NOT worth the Priority Club points I saved up for this 2 day vacation. The up side is the...

Good
My husband and I went to this hotel without our kids and while the hotel was nice and the pools were great, there were so many activities for kids to do that we felt like it was more of a family resort than couples resort. Not a bad thing, just...
