38 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I stayed here while I was attending training very close. It was super convenient, within walking distance.

The noise from the airport was minimal. My window overlooked the Rental Car return lots.

There was a 10.95 charge for the wireless internet, but it was easy to log on and I had no problems with billing for the one day I used it. It was faster than my connection at home.

My cell phone reception was good (AT&T). I didn't have to use the telephone except to call my colleagues in the hotel and the desk - and there was no charge for that.

My room was a little older, but relatively clean and comfortable. For government rates, I think it was about right.

The TV was a little out of focus.

My colleagues said their beds were wonderful, but mine was just okay. I loved the little baggie with linen spray, ear plugs and a eye mask. The extra pillows were nice.

One of my colleagues had a problem with her wake up call and got a free night. I had no problems with the wake up call (the alarm clock was too much for me to figure out).

The breakfast buffet was excellent for the price (FREE!). We were a little disappointed that the free drink coupon only covered house wine and beer. But they had a live band the night we went there.

The parking structure was terrific. Much better than other airport hotels at which I've stayed. Very easy to find a spot. It felt very safe. $12/day with unlimited in and out. The parking lot attendant was very courteous.

All the staff I dealt with at the hotel were very nice. The breakfast server was very friendly -- he remembered I drank tea.

I will stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is attending training in the area.

27 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We booked 4 rooms with plenty of time. When we arrived we requested an early check in (by 2 hours). They assured us we would be fine. We arrived and our rooms were not ready. They told us to come back in an hour....they ended up telling us this 4 times until close to 7pm on a Saturday night. The lobby was packed with over 50 people waiting for a room. They were booked the night before, short staff, and the previous guests had late check outs. They were not prepared to handle another full house. Their customer service was poor. The manager on duty, Carol McDevit, had no plan to execute the problem and no customer service skills to calm upset guests. They were giving rooms to guests on a first come basis as they were getting cleaned. We ended up staying in line for 2 hours with 8-10 people behind us waiting as well. The rooms were okay- we slept well. However, when I requested 2 extra pillows (I am almost 7 months pregnant) they said I would have to go out and purchase them myself. I asked for a manager to call our room twice and she never did. They did not offer to resolve the issue in any way. I called the general manager after our vacation to find he no longer worked there. An executive assistant took our complaint. The concierge, Louis was great! The bell staff was even shocked at how horrible the management and registration folks were. Beautiful hotel, okay beds, horrible service with a lobby full of people laying on the floor waiting for a room.

80 year old man with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

Over the years my wife and I have stayed at this facility often, this time on the club floor. It offers luxury at a reasonable price, it adjoins a convenient parking lot, making it easy to park your car and leave it there when taking a trip by plane. In the afternoon, the club room offers beverages and snacks, in the morning, continental breakfast items. Nowadays, some hotels and motels offer free use of personal computers for registered guests. This hotel does not. Guests have to pay to use a computer to print out airline boarding passes. That damages the image of the Crowne Plaza chain and the management should review it.

I am very likely to return to the Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Airport LAX.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It was conveniently located near the business I was visiting. They had a nice coffee bar in the lounge area that I used.
