38 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
recently i stayed at this hotel, memorial weekend. price was $109 for first 2 nights, but third night was a jump to $269. i can only assume it was cause of memorial day. We requested a king bed with pull out sofa. we were put in a king room with a chair. when we said that we are a family of 4 and this wont work as our children are teenagers.. plus this isnt our booking. we were moved from 10th floor to 7th. put in 712.. same situation.. so we requested a double or king with sofa.. we were told no doubles available. moved us to RM 714. it was a king with sofa. we also requested NON smoking. ironically a smoking ashtray in front of elevators, directly across from out room. We moved the ashtray daily. We ate in the hotel rest. out of convienence.. it was just OK. VERY SLOW service. food was average. highly priced for what you get. waitress would sweep the floor with fill our drinks without washing her hands. The internet service was great. NO charge for VERY FAST speed. you can even print off what you need. 3 computors for everyone to use.. We walked under Crystal City about 15 min. walk to metro station. nice walk, very safe area... but after walking DC all day.. its a long walk.. this hotel only have views of other buildings.. we booked this hotel cause everything else we looked at was full.. would NOT stay here again.. not thrilled with my experience with this hotel or CROWNE PLAZA... i prefer doubletree..

It was convenient to the airport. The courtesy shuttle was very prompt and the drivers were friendly. It was a first class hotel with outstanding room service food.
The uniformed wait staff and the uniformed bellmen made me feel elegant.

The hotel was conveniently located and the rooms were well stocked with amenities. The beds were very comfortable.
It was very nice to arrive at the hotel at the end of a long day. The check in was very easy and my room was very comfortable. There were not any loud noises in the hallways or outside the window so it was easy to relax once I got to my room.

This hotel is soooo not worth your money, at 162 a night it doesnt even offer free wireless internet. The rooms are small and not all that nice. The bathroom while nice is also small...dry cleaning and laundry is inconvinient. The restaurant is good ...
The people were nice (mostly. I had trouble upon check-out, which caused problems getting my credit card released from pre-authorization so that I could use it, but everyone else was awesome.
The rooms were nice, and the hotel was very gracious about its use of internet for our use as university students. Also, the lab and computers were useful. The shuttle service was a great benefit as well.
The food at the restaurant was incredibly expensive, not very tasty, and took an incredibly long time to arrive. I would recommend eating in one of the eateries in the Crystal City Shopping Mall.

Hotel is only 1 blk from Metro and we use that exclusively when visiting DC. No real restaurant in this hotel, only bar/lounge separated by 1/2 wall divider. Must try the apple cobbler w/van ice cream! Very friendly staff throughout...
