Crowne Plaza Hotel San Francisco Airport

I paid $119 for a Wednesday into Thursday stay. Seemed kind of high, but the Hyatt was sold out due to a Safety convention. The location of this hotel is very nice (right near a park, golf course, and oceanfront), you could even see planes taking off from SFO. The hotel has nice business amenities and is very quiet and professional (not many kids). The downside was that there is no wi-fi and the complimentary computers that are for guests are in the lobby and they are not private. On the plus side, there was free B&W printing and the front desk was very accommodating for any requests that I had. Lastly, wake-up call was on time and the USA Today paper was waiting for me. I love to read the paper in the morning, but I hate the fact that they automatically give it to EVERY guest (very wasteful & probably expensive).

I would definitely stay again, but would negotiate a better rate or use priceline.

Stayed @ the Crowne Plaza Burlingame for 5 nights during a work related conference. The recent renovations were nice. The colors were welcoming. The room was small but comfortable enough.

The service, on the other had was generally BAD. From a condecending desk clerk, to constantly runing out of coffee & water in our meetings, to dining room staff that are rude, to bartenders that argue about a comped drink coupon... all combined to make a not so pleasant stay.

I will admit that the Customer Service manager went out of her way to make up for the failings of her staff... but that can only go so far. They need some INTENSE training.

This Crown Plaza is rather old, however, they have gone through a renovation not too long ago, and the rooms although small, seems quite new, the lobby is nice, only the outside of the hotel looks old. It is very close by the freeway and very convenient to get to SFO.

It was an awesome room. The room service was great and so was the food. We only spent about five hours in the room, though, because we checked in late and we had to catch a very early flight.

I thought the location was convenient to the airport, that the hotel was comfortable and it offered average service. I did not like the elevator having to insert the room card for upper floors and the elevator movement was uncomfortably erratic. I felt that business services, like printing and faxing, should have been free.
