I find the Choice hotel chain easy to do business with. I make reservations on line and print maps and never have trouble finding them. They are always clean and usually quiet. A few have noisy bars near the rooms. Some are located in renovated older structures. I like to see old buildings reused this way. In San Antonio there's a great little Comfort Inn in an old jail. It's unique, well located, small and quiet and the price is consistent with the chain. What's not to like?

I liked the layout of the indoor pool, right outside of the room door, in a large indoor plaza with big skylight windows. The rooms were comfortable with refrigerators. They served a good continental breakfast.

The rooms were very dirty and the electrical wires were hanging out of the air conditioning and heating unit. Plus, the noise was so loud from a party sponsored by the hotel, we could not even talk above it, let alone sleep. It ruined our vacation. My kids did not get any sleep for the next days events. The hotel did not want to even compensate us for the problem.

The hotel was dirty and unsafe. Electrical wires were exposed. The noise level was unbearably loud due to an in hotel event. Management did not try to resolve these problems.
