I have not even stayed there yet but I can already say the staff seemed mediocre. I called because I am a business traveler and I wanted continental b-fast. They took cae of my issues I will say more later
When I cancelled I received a cancellation number but got billed anyway.
When I called the front desk to dispute the charge, I was informed that there is not a refund policy that is disclosed when you book a room - therefore no refund.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and was never conected.

The desk staff was not very friendly and the 16th floor restaurant was not consistent with their pricing. (Beware of hidden charges) The room I had was extremely noisy (as were the rooms of my other 5 colleagues), and there were some days when my room was not cleaned until 4:00pm. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I enjoyed the Crowne Plaza hotel friendly staff. They offered to look up my priority club number without me asking. The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay.
I am very likely
to return to the Crowne Plaza Hotel Cedar Rapids-Five Seasons.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

They never tell you the parking fee is CASH ONLY. The parking attendant actually works for the city. Room had chunks out of the wood decor. This hotel has a wonderfully attentive staff, but their rooms need a serious makeover and some of the front desk clerks have an attitude. Get rid of the paid parking and replace it with a security guard who works for the hotel who checks for room keys, or confirmation numbers for those arriving.

Parking was an additional fee and the location (~1 block away) was confusing. We arrived in snow and they hadn't bothered to clear the snow from their drive or parking ramp.
The staff was unconcerned about any aspect of the guest's experience. The room was dirty. The complimentary mouthwash had a broken seal and most of it was missing. The sauna didn't work and its walls were covered in pornographic graffiti. The fitness center was a joke.
The security from the parking lot to the hotel was nonexistent. I asked for restaurant recommendations and the staff refused to endorse anything but the hotel restaurant.
