while evacuating for hurricane rita, crockett was as far as we made it. EVERYTHING was booked all the way thru Dallas-gas stations were rationing gas-circumstances were bad!! we had NO WHERE to go!even though we had the finacial resources to go any where we wanted to, like so many people that day, we were literally stuck! the managers of this hotel gave us a room reserved for their family who was also evacuating!before the hurricane made landfall, they had made accomidations available for HUNDREDS of evacuees! some sleeping on floor in banquet room and lobby. they turned no one away, not even pet owners-and did not charge outrages fees. staff worked tirelessly to help everyone! they took care of so many in a way we will NEVER forget. the holiday inn express- a big hotel chain- turned people away in a state of emergency! a small "mom and pop" ran- inn remembered what was important and my family wouldn't trade that for a hotel with wi-fi and a fitness room!!! thank you to the staff of crockett inn.

My room at this motel had not been cleaned. There was trash from the previous guest still on the floor and underneath the edges of the bed. There was a dead bug on the bathroom wall. The carpet was so filthy that I was afraid to let my son walk on it with his bare feet. My sister had also reserved a room there but her room was worse than mine and she refused to stay there. She got her money refunded and stayed with a relative. This was the absolute worst motel that I have ever stayed in.

The hotel was okay, but I was disappointed with the parking situation.
