Easy to reserve and coordinate a very late arrival as well as pet needs - owners are newer and very friendly, outgoing and gracious. Accommodations were warm, clean, comfortable and a very good value. Location was terrific - easy access shortly off the highway while still convenient to walk into town in the morning and explore shops, galleries and restaurants. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

This hotel was a great little find. After searching for a room in Cambria (which is a bit pricey in my opinion), that would take our dog, we came across Creekside Inn. We were worried about the condition we would find because they were so much less money than everyone else we had looked at. Our worries were put to rest immediately upon check in. The front desk staff was as friendly as we'd ever encountered while the property itself was pleasant and charming. Our room was very comfortable, and when we found a VCR in the room, we asked at the desk about renting a movie. They let us pick from a good and varying selection, and told us to take as many as we liked at NO CHARGE.
There was a continental breakfast that was delicious. Assorted fattening pastries from a local bakery. Nicest of all was the short walk from the hotel into town. We had quotes as high as $299 at nearby hotels, and we paid less than $100 at Creekside Inn. On a weekend! Also there was no charge for our dog, and they gave him treats! I'm so used to being disappointed lately, that this was a pleasant surprise!

We stay at the Creekside Inn more often than any other place on our frequent visits to Cambria. If you want something affordable but better than a Motel 6-- and don't want to pay the premimum prices found on Moonstone Beach--this is an excellent place. Most, but not all of the rooms have a small balcony overlooking the sloping grassy area that leads down to the small creek behind the motel. From your sliding glass window that leads out to the balcony you have a lovely view of green trees and sky. At night you can see the stars. There are in-room coffee makers, cable tv, shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion in the bath. On weekends and summer schedule they have a small breakfast room behind the managers office where they offer pastries, orange juice, coffee, teas, a tv, a small gas fireplace, and a computer where you can check on your email, etc. This is an excellent choice if you are on a budget. It is just a few hundred paces from the east end of the East Village. You are in town when you stay here, but you're far enough away from the businesses that you feel like you're in the country (which you are---gorgeous Central Coast!). This is part of the Moonstone Corp. that runs most of the motels and hotels in Cambria. Often, when we drive into town without a reservation, we can find a room at a reasonable rate at The Creekside. For just a few dollars more than the Motel 6 in Morro Bay you can stay in a charming place with a helpful staff, unspoiled surroundings, with just a very short walk to the restaurants and art galleries.
