Craddock Terry Hotel and Event Center Hotel - Page 1

First the good news: Perhaps the loveliest hotel in the Lynchburg area, wonderful rooms, great views from the top floors, very convenient downtown location. Walking distance to several very good restaurants.

The Bad News: There are train tracks very close to the hotel. I was awaken every two hours throughout the night by loud train horns sounding off in front of my third floor windows. The horns and the rumbling every couple hours made it impossible to sleep. I was later told that the first floor rooms shield more of the noise than the upper floors- but you lose the wonderful views.

I took a tour of this hotel and the room are amazing. The exposed stone and wood from the original parts of the building makes the rooms that much more elegant. They are decorated with the finest materials, and I cannot wait to stay here.
