Courtyard by Marriott Waterbury Hotel

I would say that this hotel meets our most basic needs, nothing fancy, generally clean , and quiet. We have never had any problems to speak of.

The wait staff is very friendly, we usually have breakfast there in the mornings. We enjoy using our computer in the rooms and the wireless downstairs is great.

I would recommend this hotel but not if you are looking for something outstanding, but as I said, it is clean, quiet, safe, and located right off 84 and 8.

The girl at the front desk had a very bad disposition. When we arrived to check in, she was counting money. We told her we had a confirmation number and she didn't even look it up. I had to give her the number myself. While she was checking us in, she proceeded to help a customer on the phone while we were waiting at 10:45 P.M. We reserved a smoking room, but when we got up to our room, we discovered that it was a non-smoking room. The manager had to come up to my room to give a key to a smoking room. Then, we had no problem.

I have always liked this location and stay there whenever I am in the area. The staff is friendly and offers the quality I have come to expect from the Marriott Brand.

This hotel made me feel content: I know most of the staff, since I used to work there, but they didn't treat me as a former employee. They treated me like a paying guest (which I wasn't). It was nice to feel that pampered and comfortable.
