The hotel and room both had a bad smell

57 year old man with a economy budget, traveling for business
The hotel over all had a terrible odor, my room smelled worse, I was handed a bottle of Febreze, which did nothing to help. Opening the door I was greeted by a spider, awoke during the night to find a spider in the bed.

The Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Monroe is conveniently located. The beds are extremely comfortable and the desk staff is excellent.

There was a mix-up with the arrival, and they were extremely accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly.
This hotel made me feel respected: During the mix up at check in, they believed what I told them.
