76 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Faced with an overnight stopover in Hamburg between flights, I decided it was a good idea to lodge near the airport. However, it being a Friday night, the wide choice of hotels soon narrowed down to a Junior Suite at the Courtyard by Marriott. All other accommodations were fully booked!
The free transport from and to the terminal, the sumptuous room facilities and attractive cuisine all went a ways to justifying the price. How incongruous then to find oneself having to lug one’s bags to the room for lack of any sign of a concierge/porter about the place. And could I have my bags taken in storage until after noon checkout since my flight went later in the afternoon? Of course sir, bring them down to reception!
