The recent redecorating of the hotel was due to massive flooding from Hurricane Isabel. The first floor was underwater, triggering water damage related problems. Those with health considerations that could be exacerbated by mold, etc., should be particularly cautious.

The hotel's recent staffing changes cause concern. Watch contracts carefully, what they promise is not be what they put in writing and pressure you to sign. I encountered resistance to resolving justified complaints.

Their wool bedding irritated my sensitive skin.

The staff was very helpful and efficient in completing our registration and also in providing directions and information. The central reservation staff did not complete our reservation properly and the site handled all the corrections quickly.

It's a great room, very roomy and comfortable. But the balcony was a little dirty and TV reception was not consistent.
