Decent business type 3-storey hotel across the parking lot from the busy Mill Ave downtown and within walking distance to the Sun Devil Stadium and the ASU campus area. Comfy room and bedding. Computer in the lobby to print your air ticket. Be advised that the bottled water in the room and the newspapers near the front desk bear a charge. As do the snacks and the lobby breakfast. Ample parking but if you come to the area on business or to visit friends, note that Tempe has a free bus network that gets you all around the campus, downtown, the Marketplace, Arizona Mills, as well as connecting with the free Scottsdale trolley. Pay transport is available at the transportation center a couple of blocks east, and the new light rail is just a block or two north of the hotel. I used it daily back and forth into downtown Phoenix. Also took it to the airport when I left. A day pass is $3.50. This is a great way to get to the Diaamondback game or concerts at the Dodge. Also, the hotel offers its own free transport to and from the airport. Call the desk on arrival at Sky Harbor. This active Tempe location is probably much better than staying in busy Scottsdale or boring downtown Phoenix.
I am staying here right now and the bed is uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin. I can hear everything next door. I will not be staying here again. I am going to try the new sheraton on Rural next time.

I had a great time staying at the Courtyard. If you like to walk to multiple restaurants, bars, and other nightlife after a day of work, this location is great. If you like peace and quiet, stay at the Marriott Mesa. However, you will pay the price...
