30 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I stayed here in June for one night prior to a conference I attended in Savannah when travel plans changed and I had to be in Savannah a day early. Check-in was a little frantic, but then I realized that I was checking in at the same time as a large wedding party staying in the hotel. Given the large crowd, front desk and valet staff handled the situation very well.
The location is good - centrally located near Savannah historic district; about a 10 to 15 minute walk to River Street. My room was very clean, furnished with a king bed, dresser, desk and small sofa. Bathroom was not huge, but was bigger than I anticipated with a separate sink/dressing area. The bed was VERY comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and overall my stay was wonderful.

Okay
Overall not a bad experience, but we did have problems with the housekeeping (forgot to clean our room) and the MANDATORY $12/day valet service (they could never seem to find my car). The hotel is further from River Street than I expected, just not...
16 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I had a corner room so it was bigger than the others. It is newer and a nice place. I didn't have a balcony but I had a kitchenette and a big bathroom. I had two windows, giant beds and a comfy arm chair. The pool was neat but shallow and the hot tub was great.

My husband and I brought our 13 year old grandson to Savannah to tour and to go to The Lady and Sons Restaurant, and we stayed at the Marriott Historic District. We are used to staying in Disney's hotels and first rate places, and I must say we were very impressed with the Marriott. We got extremely good service, a very, very polite and helpful staff and we also ate breakfast there and enjoyed it very much. At the restaurant the service was wonderful and we would definitely go back. We have no complaints whatsoever.
