Located near I-5, a short walk from the Old Town's shopping, restaurants and historic area and also the Old Town Trolley Station where you can get around San Diego for $5 per day. It's also fairly near Seaworld and the Zoo. The rooms have been recently renovated are very comfortable, clean and well lit, although there can be a little noise from the highway. The hotel restaurant serves a decent breakfast (including eggs cooked to order!) and there are many restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. The hotel offers high-speed internet access, a 24-hour business center, and in-room spa services if you want to get pampered. There's also an outdoor heated pool and whirpool which is great when the weather's nice. The staff are always helpful and welcoming here.

40 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
You know you're in trouble when you arrive and there are complimentary ear plugs on the nightstand. Because it is located right on hwy 5 you feel as if you're sleeping on Hwy 5... Or in my case not sleeping. I can't understand why anyone would stay here when there are so many other options. A motel 6 would have been much better value. The facade of the Marriottis nicer than a motel 6 but the experience us the same so why bother staying here. Unfortunately I arrived with my family very late after a day of driving and did not want to waste time looking for another hotel.So we left very early the next day and moved to a much better hotel.

Walking distance to old town, safe neighborhood.Parking in hotel garage is $15 per night. Loved it! If I didn't have a van full of equipment I would have parked on the street, which is pretty safe, but had to park in the garage and pay extra....

Great location.Freeway noise, broken drawer, roach in drawer. Very nicely located near old town. Room would have been much nicer if it was not so close to the freeway (5N). Parking seemed expensive at $15.

Great location to whom I was visiting.Our room was right outside interstate 5. Our room was very noisy. We got very little sleep. The location was very convenient to where my brother lived. It was very easy to get to the tourist attractions around...
