27 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
Reservations were made with price quote of 65.00 /tax included and I had a confirmation number. I arrived midnight on March 9, 2007.
The hotel clerk tried everything in her power to raise the price to $175.00 and $180.00. She refused to honor the reservations I made over the internet. I ended up staying at another hotel. My experience was unbelievable. The Marriott Headquarters in Washington DC need to investigate this Marriott in Rocky Mount.
As a black female, I strongly felt that if I was another race, I would not had went through all of this drama. The hotel clerk did everything in her power to keep me from staying there. Marriott need to send this clerk to customer service classes. Next time I will drive to Raleigh and stay at the Marriott across from the Crabtree Valley Mall. They honored my internet reservations and treated me like a queen two weeks prior to this. It is worth the drive.
