We were quite satisfied with the hotel itself, but I would probably not stay there again, as it was extremely difficult to get to. Every single night we drove around for at least an hour, trying to get back. There is only one correct exit, and if you miss it, you have to drive all the way around and try again. That was extremely confusing and upsetting. Other than that, our stay was quite satisfactory.

My husband and I have stayed here many times when we have early morning flights out of EWR. The cost to stay here is much lower than many other airport hotels in the area. They offer amenities such as shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel is clean and quiet, though not a luxury hotel. It offers decent value for the cost when you factor in location.

There is a trick to entering the address into GPS and internet-based maps (such as Google or MapQuest). If you type the address in this format, "600 US-1 & 9, Newark, Essex, New Jersey 07114, United States", it should be understood. (Hope this helps!)

There was very difficult signage on the highway parallel to the hotel. You should call in advance for a faxed copy of printed directions. Your GPS or navigation unit will most likely not recognize their address.

Overall, it was a great experience. The front desk, young gentleman for the overnight, and breakfast staff was great and friendly. There was a quick and efficient check in, acknowledgement as a Marriott elite rewards member, and an upgrade to a suite. The restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a 24 hour snack store. There’s a good selection of restaurants around the area. The Spanish tavern is a good recommendation. They also have a 24 hour shuttle bus, complimentary internet, and folio receipt at check out, that can now be sent via email, in case you're on the go.

The internet connection did not work. All hotels should aim to offer free wireless internet that actually works.

They upgraded me to a suite.

There weren’t any good restaurants around the area and we couldn’t sleep since we were right next to the highway.

It's in a convenient location and offers a shuttle to the airport. It is relatively new, has a good menu, has coffee in the room, and a new television. It is better than the competition.

I was greeted as elite member, and remembered from previous stays, The reservation was on file and ready. They knew the specials in the restaurant. They handled the shuttle and wake-up on arrival for the following day.

I only stayed two nights. The room was comfortable, clean and modern. Check in and check out were quick and pleasant.

I felt relaxed because all my calls to the front desk were answered right away.

The staff was attentive, friendly and fast.

I had a special request which the staff worked very hard on fulfilling.
