59 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The reviews I read had me a little apprehensive but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The room was clean and comfortable. I had the room with two queen beds and balcony overlooking the pool area which was nice you could open the door for fresh air. The bathroom was a little small for my comfort. The pool was not heated and the water was cold. It went from 3 1/2 ft to 8ft deep. The hot tub was green and nasty looking and the attendant quickly added chemicals to clean it out. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet, the attendant did not charge for the children and I didn't mind paying the $28 for two adults. I didn't walk outside at night so I don't know what the area is like at night but the days were pleasant and my experience here was a good one. There is a grocery store about four blocks away and a laundromat which was convenient and useful traveling with small children. Next time I'll research better eating places.

I stayed in this hotel during the Grand Prix in Long Beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was quite large, modern and clean. Pine Ave shops and The Pike are within walking distance. High speed in-room internet access was excellent....
This is the 4th or 5th time we stay at the Courtyard in Long Beach. We love it there, we have never had any issues. It is a convinient location, I would recommend.
